Rtn. K. Krishna Shetty was born in Mangalore on 15th August, 1951 (It coincides on the day we Indians celebrate Independence Day). A committed member of the Rotary club of Mangalore North, who has served the club in almost all capacities. He has served the organisation as District Chairmen, Asst. Governor, District Joint Secretary, District Secretary and a resource person at the Rotary Meets.

He completed his education in Mangalore. After completing Civil Engineering, He worked on some of the major projects in India for about 18 years. Since 1990, he has been doing business in areas of manufacturing Liquor, The Hotel Industry, Civil Engineering Consultancy, Pharmaceuticals, Holiday Resorts & Computer Sciences.

He is a life member of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Executive Committee member of Mangalore Management Association, Executive Committee member of Engineers Association of Kodagu & Udupi District, Member and former Secretary and Treasurer of the Dakshina Kannada Cricket Association, Member of the Red Cross Society of India and Pilikula Golf Club.

He is married to Ann. Shakunthla who is an active Inner Wheel member & also the past Joint Secretary & Treasurer of the club.The couple are blessed with two children. Sahana their daughter is a Software Engineer & Prajwal their son is studying Engineering.

His hobbies are Reading, Travelling & Sports.
